770 or higher in SAT Math, or a full refund of your program fee. This guarantee applies to students enrolled in ScholarSeed’s eight-week program who meet every requirement below. It is part of the Terms of Service. All dates and deadlines use U.S. Eastern Time.
At a glance
- Take the official SAT at least once before the program starts. Any score counts; there is no minimum.
- Complete every program lesson and checkpoint by your program deadline.
- Take your next two official SATs within six months of completing the program.
- If both Math scores are 760 or below, email your claim within 60 days after the second score is released.
What the guarantee covers
An eligible claim receives a refund of the full $2,500 program fee paid for that enrollment. We do not deduct payment-processing fees. The refund goes to the original payment method.
The guarantee concerns the Math section score of the official SAT. It does not cover a total SAT score, another test, college admission, or scholarship eligibility.
Requirement 1: a prior official SAT
The student must have taken the official SAT at least once before the program start date stated in their enrollment confirmation. There is no minimum prior score.
Requirement 2: complete the program
The student must complete all program lessons and checkpoints by the program deadline stated in their enrollment confirmation. A lesson or checkpoint is complete when the application records it as completed on the student’s own account. Students may retry lessons and checkpoints as often as they like; a perfect first attempt is not required. Office-hours attendance and practice tests are not requirements. Free sample lessons used before enrollment do not count toward completion.
If a ScholarSeed service interruption prevents on-time completion, the deadline is extended by the length of the interruption.
Requirement 3: the two qualifying SATs
The six-month window begins on the date the student completes the last program lesson or checkpoint, as recorded in their account, and ends at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time on the same calendar date six months later. The two qualifying attempts are the student’s next two official SATs taken after completion. Both must:
- be taken within the six-month window (scores may be released after it closes); and
- have an official Math score of 760 or below.
If the student scores 770 or higher in Math on either attempt, the score target has been met and no refund is due. If the student does not take two official SATs within the window, no refund is due.
What counts as an official SAT
- Counts: any SAT administered by the College Board with an official score report, including weekend, SAT School Day, and administrations taken with approved testing accommodations.
- Does not count: practice tests, the PSAT/NMSQT, PSAT 10, PSAT 8/9, and any non-College-Board test.
- Scores canceled by the student: the attempt still counts as one of the two qualifying attempts, and it does not qualify for a refund.
- Test canceled, or scores canceled, by the College Board for reasons not caused by the student (for example, a test-center closure or an administration problem): the attempt does not count, and the student’s next official SAT takes its place. The six-month window is extended by the time between that test date and the student’s next available administration.
- Scores canceled or withheld because of misconduct: the guarantee no longer applies.
Examples
- Math scores of 750 and 760: the score requirement is met, provided the completion and timing requirements are also met.
- Math scores of 760 and 770: the target was reached on the second attempt, so no refund is due.
- One Math score of 760 and no second SAT within six months: the two-test requirement was not met, so no refund is due.
How to make a claim
Email refund@scholarseed.com within 60 days after the official score release for the second qualifying SAT. Include:
- the student’s ScholarSeed username and the parent or guardian’s name;
- official College Board score reports (PDF downloads from the student’s College Board account) for the prior SAT and both qualifying SATs, showing the student’s name, test date, and Math score.
We may ask for reasonable additional verification, such as viewing the reports in the student’s College Board account during a short video call. Do not send passwords, full identification documents, or payment-card details.
We will acknowledge your claim within 5 business days and send a decision within 15 business days after receiving a complete claim. Approved refunds are issued within 10 business days of the decision; your card issuer may take additional time to post the refund. If a claim is denied, the decision will explain why, and you may reply with additional information for reconsideration.
When the guarantee does not apply
The guarantee does not apply if someone other than the student completed lessons, checkpoints, or tests on their behalf; if score reports or other claim information are falsified; or if the student’s enrollment was terminated for a serious violation of the Terms of Service. One guarantee refund is available per enrollment.
Nothing in this guarantee limits rights that applicable law does not allow us to exclude.
