From an idea to understanding
A reason for each step.
Our lessons follow a chain: give an idea meaning, connect it to what came before, and practice recognizing it in a new form.
- Define
Start with what it means.
A symbol needs a meaning. A rule needs a reason. We begin with the ideas that make a method make sense, so there is something to build on.
- Connect
Find the familiar structure.
A long expression can still follow a simple idea. In the distributive property, a whole expression can act as one part—even when it contains a fraction, a radical, or an enormous exponent.
Recognizing those parts tells you what to do without having to simplify everything inside them.
